You have your quote and you have booked a slot. So what actually happens when the courier turns up? This guide focuses on the collection-day experience itself: the visit, the handover, ID, insurance and staying safe. Before the courier arrives

A little preparation makes the doorstep handover take seconds rather than minutes.

1. Finish your prep. Back up, sign out of your Apple ID or Google account, turn off Find My, factory reset and remove your SIM or eSIM. The prep checklist covers the full order.
2. Have your ID ready. Keep a valid photo ID to hand, such as your Emirates ID or passport. See what documents you need for detail.
3. Pack the device safely. If you still have the box, use it. Otherwise wrap the device so the screen is protected for the journey.
4. Be reachable. Keep your phone available on a second number or device so the courier can contact you if needed.

On the day: the courier visit

The handover

At the booked time, the courier arrives at your chosen home or office address anywhere in the UAE. You hand over the device and provide your photo ID for the handover.
